goTenna Deployment Kits (goKits) and phones (EUDs) can be set up offline; however, frequency sets will need to be created manually, specific user permissions cannot be applied, and the goKit will not contain the selected applications or mission packs for deployment.
- Click the goTenna icon to launch the plugin.
- Click "Get Started”
- Click on the Pro X
- Scroll down to the bottom of the login screen
- Click "Setup"
- You have three options for Offline Deployment.
Connect to goKit or App Hotspot via WiFi
- Be sure to connect your EUD to the WiFi Hotspot of the Deployment Kit Tablet of the goKit 2 or the RaspberryPi of the goKit 1.
Take note of the Pin needed for Step 2. - Enter the pin from the goKit 2 tablet, then click "Submit"
- Click "Download"
- Click "Activate Deployment Pack"
- Click "AGREE"
- Click "NEXT"
- Choose a Frequency Set, then click "TUNE & FINISH"
Scan Frequency Tuning QR Code
We strongly recommend scanning QR codes in portrait orientation.
- Scan the Frequency Set QR code on the originating EUD.
- Follow Steps 5 through 7 above from “Connect to goKit or App Hotspot via WiFi”
Manual Frequency Tuning
- Manually enter all parameters to complete a custom Frequency Set.
- Follow Steps 5 through 7 above from “Connect to goKit or App Hotspot via WiFi”
Pro Tip: Working with Other teams.
To work in the field with other teams, simply share frequencies with the other team with a QR code. It is NOT necessary to be signed into the same Portal account to work with other teams.
Offline deployment methods also work as a great way to coordinate between different teams in the field.
