goKit Deployment Mode
Note: Deployment Mode
- The goKit Deployment mode allows users to connect to the goKit and pull down applications and frequency sets. This is useful for offline deployment
- The goKit cannot simultaneously be connected to WiFi and in Deployment mode
To enter Deployment Mode:
- Select "Deploy"
- Select a frequency set that has been saved for offline use, or from the goKit group created in the Pro Portal (if online), or create a new frequency set
- Select Mission Pack (if applicable)
- Choose if use only permissions should be applied (service user or standard user privileges)
- Choose if the goKit should deploy as a WiFI hotspot which supports Applications, Mission Packs, and Frequency Sets, or as a QR code which support only Frequency Sets
Troubleshooting
Problem 1: How do I pull an application from the goKit?
Solution:
1. Enter Deployment mode from the Kit
2. From the End User Device, connect to the Wi-Fi SSID displayed on the goKit Screen
- To download apps to an End User Device Navigate to a web browser
- In the browser navigate to an uncached website (a website you have not visited on this EUD)
- Choose from the list of stored applications to download
- Follow installation steps on screen
Problem 2: My goKit WiFi hotspot is providing intermittent signal to users
Solution: It is recommended to have several users access the kit at a time as the hotspot can get bogged down if too many users are pulling from the kit at once
- The kit can be taken out of deployment mode and then put back in deployment mode to re-initiate the WiFi hotspot
