ATAK 4.3.1 and 4.2.1 Release Notes version 1.4.6

Issues addressed in this firmware:

  • AG 1.2s - 3.0.2 - Unable to set 3 control channels (3.0.4)
  • The NACK is sent to app due to SEND_MESSAGE_NET_QUEUE_FULL (3.0.5)

Features added:

  • All the features and from 1.4.3.1 (see this document)
  • Update FW to 3.0.4
  • Create Syzygy build v 1.4.5
  • Enhancement: Add node count in the location update history (224)
  • Update AG 1.2 firmware (224)
  • Add Enhanced Diagnostic Log enablement to Diagnostic Logs (224)
  • Bluetooth reconnect logic is enabled

  • TAK Crash
  • Handle Backpressure
  • Bisync error happens on unit connect and the SPIN toggle
  • Update message ID
  • Log number of messages sent and received every minute in diagnostic logs

Known Issues:

  • Crash dialog popup during firmware upgrade
  • Casevac title is not limited to 25 characters
  • LED still works after Listen Only or Relay Mode is enabled and disabled.
  • ATAK Encryption pressing back arrow takes you to landing page
  • ATAK Frequency pressing back arrow takes you back to landing page
  • Random crash on Pro device connection
  • Random ATAK crash on Logout
  • Only having one data channel or control channel makes spectrum analyzer columns really wide
  • Battery Low Notification does not display

 

ATAK Issues Found:

  • ATAK does not recognize the change in affiliation of a pin.
  • The sound and notification  changes only take effect when the app is restarted.
  • If you send a circle from device A to device B, the circle cannot be moved by device B, its center “move” dot is hidden.

 

Issues found in build 232/231:

  • The X-capability is not possible to enable due to the token
  • ATAK 1.4.5 - Encryption screen has a new toggle that crashes the app (resolved in 1.4.5-231 Release)

 

Issues found in build 1.4.5-231 for ATAK 4.2.1 release version:

  • Multiple screens have toggle switches that crash the app (Key info, Share Frequency, Firmware, About, and FAQ pages)  (resolved in 1.4.5-232 Release)

 

Issues found in build 1.4.6-240: For ATAK 4.3.1 debug Version:

  • ATAK plugin cannot select distance PLI after selecting custom frequency PLI
  • ATAK Plugin does not display the currently selected PLI source ( It only displays the time PLI in seconds)
  • While Encryption is enabled, it is not possible to send another encryption key via Broadcast chat
  • Crash -  Edge Case - Exiting the Encryption Key validation prematurely crashes the app
  • Redirect to login page prevents user from reading through the Terms of Use while onboarding

Issues found in build 1.4.6-252: For ATAK 4.2.1 Release Version:

  • Incomplete log is saved to the local storage in case of a long log
